How Fractional Laser Treatment Works

Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing is the only method which offers both excellent results with minimal or no downtime. Pigmented Lesions

(sun or age spots) occur in response to sun induced injury and appear as light or dark brown flat spots known as solar lentigines. Extensive sun exposure can also induce a diffuse browning of the skin, known as actinic bronzing. Intense pulses of light are absorbed by the melanin pigment. The lesions then initially become darker and then crust up and exfoliate naturally in about 2 weeks.

Vascular lesions

are red or purple veins just under the skin surface. These can appear as spider veins (tiny vessels like a spider's web) or as rosacea (facial inflammation). Intense pulses of light are absorbed by the blood causing localised heat followed by collapse of the surface vessels.

The Palomar Starlux Pulsed Light photo-facial system can be used for face, neck, chest, hands and other areas. The treatment time is only ½ hour and there is no down time. The treated areas will, however, become very photosensitive so sun block and a hat are recommended for those going out into the sun.

Every molecule in nature comes in two forms, which are mirror images of one another. These are called "levo" or "dextro"(left or right). The Medifacial

Kate Giouzellis

After studying at The Sorbonne University in Paris, Kate Giouzellis practiced beauty therapy in Paris, throughout Europe and in the United States before furthering her studies in Paramedical and Advanced Aesthetics.
As well as post graduate training in beauty therapy with Jean Gatineau in Paris and at Labiana école d'esthétique de Paris, Kate went on to obtain a teaching degree in deportment, styling and self-improvement. Kate also studied at the Art and Professional make-up school of Jean Pierre Fleurimon. Subsequently Kate worked in European television with both French/Canadian and Chanel Plus Television in Paris as well as with film and theatre. Kate has applied her specialist skills with Yves St. Laurent fashion shows in Paris and, upon her return to Australia, taught at the Victorian College, Melbourne. Kate is also trained and educated in the chemistry of cosmetics and anti-ageing.
Kate believes that, although most skin care programmes will improve your skin, medical skin care products deliver far stronger ingredients in a controlled fashion resulting in a faster and more therapeutic result.

Certified by several leading cosmetic and skin care houses, Michelle has the knowledge and experience to analyse the skin of each individual and to prescribe the most effective treatment. Michelle is a qualified makeup artist with years of experience in special occasion makeup.
Michelle's 16 years of professional experience is diverse and extensive, ranging from working in a leading dermatology practice with patients experiencing severe skin conditions, to working as a Beauty Therapist / Trainer on luxury cruise liners from New York to Bermuda.
